CIC Students Exempted from Hotel Quarantine?
Qualifications?
It was announced by the Canadian Government in February 2021 that international students?arriving in Canada alone from another country?are exempted?from having to quarantine in a hotel.??
CIC students?under the age of 22?arriving in Canada alone meet the criteria stated under the Canadian Government’s Orders in Council 2021-0075 Section 3,?Subsection (1.2) (a) of being?an unaccompanied dependent child, and?are?therefore?exempt?from the hotel stopover?portion of the quarantine.?
On?Arrival to the?Port of?Entry?
CIC students are provided with supporting documents from our Admissions Office for presentation to the Canadian Border Service Agency officials at the port of entry.? Upon arrival at the airport:??
- Students will receive a free COVID-19 test and a test kit?to?use in 10 days??
- Students?will then?proceed to the CIC Residence designated for quarantine.?
